Why Rooted Wellness

Hi, my name is Kimzey, and I have been helping people through their healing journeys for over two decades. I am a mother, friend, sister, and daughter. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, seeing live music, cooking, walking and playing with my dogs, and soaking up the sun and water.

I chose the name Rooted Wellness because it reflects my belief that true healing begins with a strong foundation. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, preparing for birth, navigating their postpartum time, or simply seeking relief from pain and stress, I believe healing is most effective when we care for the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Experience

For nearly 20 years, I've worked as a massage therapist, helping people of all ages, body types, and backgrounds move with less pain and greater ease. My work has taken me through therapeutic bodywork, prenatal care, post-operative recovery, and supporting families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

Education & Philosophy

In addition to being a licensed massage therapist, I also hold a certification in Holistic Health and Integrative Medicine from the University of New Mexico and have spent many years studying herbalism and homeopathy; I have also attended many births as a doula and a student midwife and have supported many families through the postpartum time. These experiences have shaped my whole-person approach to care, blending evidence-based techniques with thoughtful, compassionate support.

My hope is that every person I work with feels seen, supported, and cared for. Healing looks different for everyone, and it’s an honor to be part of that journey.
